QL Figo is committed to conserving natural resources for the enjoyment of future generations in our operations. Environmental sensitivity is a major consideration for us in our production of consumer wholesome food products for customer convenience. We endeavour to minimise any adverse impact caused on the environment.

Our concern for the environment drives us to explore and utilise both emerging and proven technologies to sustain a better and healthy environment for the current and future generations. We are compliant with local authority requirements in monitoring and disclosing information relating to the environment including progress of the environmental activities and performance to the Malaysian Department of Environment.

Our facilities are equipped with solar power generation equipment which is capable of up to 2MWp output per annum to reduce grid dependency and increase operational efficiency. By capitalising on Malaysia’s abundant sunshine, we are putting a renewal source to good use while lowering carbon emissions. Our photovoltaic panels enable us to reduce up to 20% of grid electricity consumption on a yearly average, directly lessening our carbon footprint.

QL Figo employs wastewater treatment and air pollution control systems that are approved by the relevant authorities. Effluent wastewater discharge meet Standard A parameters, chimney air emissions comply with Malaysia Quality (Clean Air) and the Scheduled Wastes are collected by a licensed waste contractor.

We are also dedicated to 3R: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle programmes, contributing to an environmentally friendly operation. This programme is not limited to industrial waste alone as we encourage employees to properly store and dispose of all waste materials in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
